Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of TickerDesk at tickerdesk.io ("the service"). By accessing the service or signing up for an account, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
TickerDesk is an information tool, not financial advice. Nothing you see on the dashboard, in the Daily Brief, or in notifications is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. Do your own research before any trade. We are not licensed financial advisors and the service is not a substitute for one.
What TickerDesk does
TickerDesk aggregates publicly-available equity market data — options flow signals, swing-grade trend scores, news headlines, earnings calendars, regulatory filings — into a personalized research dashboard. It is a tool for researching securities, not for executing trades. We do not connect to brokerages and we do not execute trades on your behalf.
Acceptable use
- You will not attempt to scrape, mirror, or republish bulk data from the service. The market data we display is licensed from our providers; bulk redistribution violates their terms and ours.
- You will not attempt to break into other users' accounts, reverse-engineer the auth system, or otherwise misuse the service.
- You will not use the service for any unlawful purpose, including market manipulation or coordinated trading schemes.
- You will not attempt to abuse free-tier credits, multi-account our limits, or circumvent payment for paid tiers.
Accounts
You're responsible for the security of your sign-in email. If your email account is compromised, the attacker can request a magic link to your TickerDesk account. We are not liable for losses from compromised email accounts. Enable two-factor authentication on your email provider.
One account per person. Bot, automated, or fake accounts will be terminated without notice.
Data accuracy
We pull market data from reputable third parties (Polygon.io for stocks/options, SEC EDGAR for filings, EarningsWhispers for the earnings calendar, Twitter syndication for some imagery). We do not guarantee that data is real-time, complete, accurate, or free of errors. Quote and options data may be delayed up to 15 minutes depending on plan tier. Swing grades and signal scores are algorithmic, not authoritative.
Before acting on any TickerDesk data, verify with your broker or primary source.
Service availability
We make a best effort to keep the service running. There is no uptime SLA on free accounts. Paid accounts (when offered) will have their own SLA terms. We may take the service down for maintenance, upgrades, or recovery without notice.
Paid plans
Paid tiers (Pro, Premium) are billed monthly. You can cancel any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. No prorated refunds for partial months unless required by law. We will give 30 days' notice before changing prices on existing subscribers.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty express or implied. TickerDesk's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which is $0 for free-tier users).
In no event will TickerDesk be liable for trading losses, lost profits, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify TickerDesk against any claims arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or if your use is harmful to the service or other users. You may delete your account at any time from your settings or by emailing us.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced via the Daily Brief or an in-dashboard banner. By continuing to use the service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey.
